Nordmann Fir
The Nordmann Fir is the most commonly available of the Christmas tree firs. Nordmanns have fantastic needle retention, dark green glossy needles and dense attractive foliage. The trees are pruned to give a good full and uniform shape throughout their growing cycle. An ideal all season Christmas tree, due to their soft needles that do not drop readily as the tree becomes drier.
Order your tree by Sunday 16th November, for collection from Combe Down Primary School on Saturday 29th November. We will contact you nearer the date to provide details about collection.
If collection is not practical or convenient, you can also request delivery to your home address (BA1 and BA2 postcodes only). Look for this option under Shipping when you place your order. Delivery fees are £5 plus £2.50 per item.
How to get the best from your tree
Cut 2cm off the stump and leave it outside in a bucket of water. When ready to decorate, put it in a water-retaining stand away from direct heat and radiators, and regularly top up the stand with water. Trees can drink up to a litre a day, depending on size, so check the water level regularly. A Christmas Tree can drink water for up to about two weeks. After this period the tree will begin to shut down and will not drink anymore. If possible, avoid cutting off the top, as the tree will lose moisture and dry out much faster.
